The Mountain Chronicle · Chapter 06
"Pre-planning is the greatest gift you can give your family. It is a quiet act of love — made before the hardest moment, so that they do not have to make decisions in grief."
— The Atchley Family
Millions of people visit the Smoky Mountains every year. Many fall in love with the mountains so deeply that they return year after year — and many have told us they would like to be laid to rest here, among the ridges and hollows they loved in life.
You don't need to be a Sevier County resident to pre-plan with Atchley. Our pre-need coordinator handles consultations by phone, email, or video. We can hold your arrangements on file across any of our three chapels — and when the time comes, your family will know exactly where to call.
If you've been visiting the Smokies for years and have always felt at home in these mountains, give us a call. It is a simpler conversation than most people expect.
Call us or write to us. There is no obligation and no pressure. You speak with one of our directors — by phone, in person, or by video — and we listen to what you want.
We record every detail: the chapel, the service type, the music, the readings, the cemetery. Your instructions are filed across all three chapels so that any of our directors can serve your family, wherever they call from.
Through a licensed pre-need insurance plan, we lock in the costs of your chosen services at today's rates. What you plan for today is what your family pays — regardless of when the time comes.
The final and most important step: tell your family that the arrangements are made and where to find them. We will provide written confirmation and a copy for your records.
One call, one conversation. We'll take it from there, at whatever pace suits you.
